The Eccentric Club Event Policy (2025)

1. Introduction 
The Eccentric Club ("the Club") is dedicated to maintaining an environment that celebrates originality, conviviality, and respect. This Event Policy outlines the expected conduct and rules for members and guests attending Club events, ensuring a harmonious and enjoyable experience for all participants.

2. Dress Code 
2.1. The Club prides itself on maintaining an atmosphere of elegance and eccentricity. 
Attendees are required to adhere to the following dress code:
  • Elegant, Eccentric, Glamorous, Tasteful Attire: Guests are encouraged to express their individuality within the bounds of sophistication and taste.
  • Prohibited Attire: The following clothing items are not permitted:
    • Jeans or denim
    • Sportswear or casual wear
    • Trainers or athletic shoes
2.2. Guests not complying with the dress code may be denied entry, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.

3. Booking and Payments
3.1. All event fees must be paid in full prior to the event date. 
3.2. The Club does not accept cash payments at the event venue. 
3.3. Early booking is recommended to secure attendance and avoid disappointment.
3.4. Names of guests and members attending should be communicated to the Secretary well in advance.

4. Cancellations and Refunds 
4.1. To ensure equitable service for all members and their guests, once the event has been booked, there is a one hundred percent cancellation charge in place, so members and guests cancelling bookings or failing to attend will be charged the full cost of the event, and no refunds will be issued. 

5. Conduct and House Rules 
5.1. Attendees (members and guests) are expected to uphold the Club's values by:
  • Demonstrating respect and courtesy towards fellow members, guests, and venue staff.
  • Avoiding discussions or debates on political or religious topics to maintain a harmonious atmosphere.
  • Refraining from any behaviour that could lead to interpersonal conflicts.
  • Respecting the house rules of any venue hosting an Eccentric Club event and ensuring that the name of the Eccentric Club or the hosting venue is not brought into disrepute.
5.2. Attendees must comply with the specific house rules of any venue hosting a Club event, including:
  • Not accessing areas designated for venue members or staff only.
  • Settling any personal orders or purchases directly with the venue before departure, as the Club does not offer or guarantee credit for private transactions.
5.3. The Club reserves the right to issue warnings or request the departure of individuals who violate these conduct guidelines during an event. In such instances, no refunds will be provided.
5.4. Members are deemed responsible for their choice of guests, guests' behaviour, and their understanding of The Eccentric Club's nature and ethos.

6. Acceptance of Terms 
6.1. By booking a Club event, members and guests acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined in this Event Policy. This policy is designed to ensure that all events hosted by The Eccentric Club are enjoyable, respectful, and reflective of the Club's esteemed traditions and values.
